Terrie Leigh Relf
Terrie Leigh Relf has a B.A. in Buddhist and Western Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, CO, and an M.A. in Rhetoric and Writing from San Diego State University. She has taught at a variety of institutions which include San Diego State University and San Diego City College. Currently, she teaches academic writing at Woodbury University of Architecture in San Diego, CA.
For over fifteen years, Relf has been a freelance editor, writer, and writing coach. She has been on staff at City Works, Fireweed, NFG, The Espresso, San Diego Writers Monthly, Tales from the Moonlit Path, Vision Magazine, WORD San Diego, and Writer On-line (WOL). Currently, she is on staff at Sam's Dot Publishing, where she edits Hungur Magazine, The Drabbler, and serves on the Special Projects Committee.
Relf is a lifetime member of the Science Fiction Poetry Association as well as an active member of the Horror Writers Association. She has been published in a variety of publications which include Aoife's Kiss, Hungur Magazine, Illumen, Kaleidotrope, Midnight Echo, Mindflights, NFG, Sol-Magazine, Space and Time, Star*Line, Strange Horizons, Tales from the Talisman, and The Drabbler. Her work has also appeared in a variety of genre anthologies, which include collaborations with Michael McCarty's With a Little Help from my Fiends and Crimson Screams, and Sam's Dot Publishing's The Book of Tentacles.
Her chapbook and book credits include the following: three collections of poetry , Lap Danced by the Muse (Writersmonthly.com), Jupiter's Eye (Sam's Dot Publishing), and My Friend, the Poet, and other poems about people I think I know (Sam's Dot Publishing); an illustrated story, The Ice Queen (Sam's Dot Publishing); a writing handbook, Poet's Workshop--and Beyond (Sam's Dot Publishing); and one novel, Blood Journey, a vampire saga co-authored with Henry Lewis Sanders. Forthcoming from Sam's Dot Publishing are Jupiter's Eye--Redux, The Ancient One, Book II of Blood Journey, co-authored with Henry Lewis Sanders, and her first young adult novel, The Waters of Nyr.
